Default cam flashing.

Really frustrated. I've been trying to flash a blue zeta cam all day and have got absoutely no where. :-(

Now broken the cam, so need to get a new one and have another go. Have a cas 3+ duolabs heap of junk which doesn't work and am really annoyed now. How do you get these horrible things to work.

Have a copy of joker 79 but it's too big to go on a funcard4 and have a copy of bluezeta firmware but again it's too big....

Tried using the jcard but makes no difference.

So frustrating.

I found with the Blue Zeta, I had to squeeze the CAM where the jcard was inserted to get a connection. This meant holding it the entire time it was flashing, but that's only a few minutes so no real hardship.

If that doesn't work, try rebooting the PC (found that with the Inifnity USB card programmer - it said it was fine and working, but actually needed a reboot to work). If it still doesn't work then I'm afraid TwinTown's right, you've got a non-flasher there.

if u can get it green normally it'll be ok......do as stu says and when the j-card is in position squeeze the cam over the card and then move the card slightly.....hold all the way thru the flashing operation

Just out of curiosity, the jcard should be touching the contacts on the circuit board of the zeta cam by the solder thats comes through the jcard is this right? do you have solder coming through at all 3 points? As middle point on my jcard has solder in it but it's lower than flush and not making contact. Is it meant to?

I don't know if that makes sense, if you can't work it out, let me know and I'll try putting a picture in.

Thanks

Yes, the contacts should be touching the solder on all three points on the jtag. When I got mine I had to move one of them slightly to get it to touch, and I've flashed three CAMs since then, so I guess it's meant to touch!

Added a bit of solder to the middle connection to bring it up flush with the outer two, I just get a solid red now with no green flashing.

I think I got an unflashable one. Another one on the way, will see what happens with that.
