hi i have a pace 1000 phase1b which was bought on ebay a few weeks ago. its from a different area and ive tried to set net id using fun card method. ive programmed the funcard with flash,inteep and exteep from netid program. after pulling red jumper, putting back on and going into engineers menu. checked the net id and it is 09999. when i insert the fun card. the box reboots, and the old n t l logo comes up and it says "Please wait, your set top box is being updated"

it stays on this and doesnt do anything. ive noticed on the box LED it says PACE......any suggestions? done this on a box before and it worked fine

use a proggy called libby with a scart to serial lead

I had the this problem today with the same box even libby took a lot of attempts....but it worked in the end.

thanks for ur reply guys, does anybody have the .cfg file for net id 41048 box pace 1000 im unsure how to change the net id thanks

Could always dump the config you have and edit it, then upload that?

yeah ive got a config file. it says set net id NTL, set net id WEMBLEY, set net id TW. ive changed the wembley so it sets the net id for my area but still wont do it

Sounds odd.. Have you tried a hard reset before trying this? (Pull the red jumper)

yep. first thing what i did was pull red jumper.wait few secs. go to engineers menu. program funcard usin netid with net id for my area. put card in box. it reboots. and stays on the screen "Please wait your set top box is being updated" . says PACE on the LED of the box also

thereafter tried with libby with method above

could be the atmells on the board if you look in the stb you will see the board at the front unclip it give the contacts a good clean replace check the atmells see if they look ok ive had were the atmells need reflowing but useualy you get 88.88 or tune on the led display ive allso had them were it wont take the update due to insufficient space try holding in stanby when you power the stb up untill you see 0000 then push the buttons on the right from top to bottom cant remember wich way they are now were the tv and favorites is you will see 4321 then push ok and see if it updates then then try the fun card again
