ok, ive got a pace 400i'm using with a funcard and almost all chanels are fine, but sky1 has breakup, wic is constant, bu doesnt bother me as i rarely watch that channel. however tonight i now dont have national geogaphic and a few others. getting HUGE numbers of both pre and pst rs errors. over 1700 pe and 400 post rs errors
snr is 31.6. taking the spplitter out of the equation made no diff to the chanels. i'm using official virgin media cable, so i dont think its the cables at fault.

anyone got any ideas of how to fix it?

The tuner might be on it's way out. Try a replacement and see if it solves the problem.

Have a look in eng menu at attenuation if its set high change to low.

can't see any options fo attenuation in the engineers menu, is it likely to be called somethin else?

You should see the signal levels on the first or second page of the EM.

It will be on there somehwere.

There is a field as mentioned by red called attentuation. Its set to low on my box at the moment and thats a 4001 if thats any help.
