Default Eurovox 2 i think flashed wrong - remote now don't work...

chaps,

Me mate flashed his eurovox and the remote stopped working, I've checked the remote and it's working (looked at it through my Video camera and also checked it works on another box) any reason why a flash could stop the remote working and any ideas on fixing it?

Thanks

it's one of these but the remote is not the same as the one show...

I think you have lost the scart connection
connect some coax cable from the TV / VCR socket of the eurovox to the TV
tune your telly to the VCR channel where you will get the 'enter pin' screen
using your remote enter the master pin which is 1004.
go to menu and clear data, then do a factory reset.
plug your scart back in and do a powerscan as normal

Hi mate, the box is all working and it's working via scart to the TV etc. it's just the remote isn't working any more.

He states that after it's been flashed this is when the remote stopped working and i've checked it by looking at it via a video camera and it's transmitting a signal.

I've been reading a few threads and some say if it's been flashed with the wrong firmware then this can happen, so hopefully i was looking at a way to revert it back to orginal and then reflash with correct frirmware......

are you sure its a EV2
1 scart = EV1
2 scarts = EV2
then as greenbones suggested try a reflash

I have flashed a normal eurovox and that was cool, done dreamboxes, and dbox's 2....just need to look for the software.....thanks (it's not the same as the blue/red fix is it)

Its been flashed with Euro blue firmware. Try a Euro max Remote. Guarantee its that. That would stop the remote from working.

kk, might just tell me pal to buy a remote for it rather than risking flashing and then i'd end up a box down...

I take it these E2 boxes should not be flashed with the blue or red fix that came out, what's it doing then turning them into a eurovox 1 ?

Thanks man

well i would presume it is the blue one then, i mean everything is working on it.

Guess he'll just have to buy a max remote for it then.

Thanks man.

So it's a Eurovox Max Remote that will work then?
