Default ITV HD now available to Sky HD boxes which have the new software

There are many reports coming in that ITV HD can be watched via "Add Channels" on the new software being run out to Sky HD boxes!

ONLY if your box has received the new software Add Channels using these parameters:

11.427
H
2/3
27500

And add channel 10510, and watch it in Other Channels.

Dont even bother trying if you are still on the old style s/w - it wont work

Can you force the box to load the new software or is it done by sly over the phone?

Its being run out one make/model at a time. The first Grundigs were updated over the air via satellite at 0400 this morning. The others will be done in the next few months.

Sorry billet couldnt resist it. Theres plenty of info about the new epg over on the Digital Spy forum if you want to have a look. I havent seen a timeline published for the roll out, but its bound to be several months from start to finish.

A forced software update may get the new software earlier, but only if it's imminent. It's not available for Thomson yet.

The optical cable is audio only, are you also connecting a video feed to the Amp and can the amp upconvert to HDMI?

The regular Sky+ is not HD, you need the Sky+HD box for that.
