Hi folks. I've seen bits here and there about getting haxor on the 256.

Apparently on a 16 mb 16 legged Spansion chip available from RS.

I've read that 8 legs are not used and obviously a wired mod will be needed. I'm thinking hot melt glue gun sticking chip on its back to wherever on the board.

I have a couple of these and think i might give it a go......

My question is how do i program this chip? Can I use the willem?

ok, mines a parallel willem, not usb. could you point me in the right direction for these 8 pin version? that guy selling them on ebay also says he has MX25L160 SPI Flash Chips. are these the 8 pin'd chips were talking about?
