Theres no such thing as free speech on a forum of any sort. You have to follow the rules set by the owner of the forum as applied by the moderation staff. No rules would lead to anarchy very quickly. You agree to follow the forum rules every time you log on.

Religion is a spectacularly bad thing to try to discuss on any none religion forum as feelings run very strongly and flame wars can break out very quickly. Even on this forum I guarantee we have everything from devoted christians to total aetheists with probably fair few muslims, jews, hindus and a whole multitude of the other religions.

You seem to think the mods and me in particular delete things willy nilly. Let me point out all things that get binned are logged by the mod responsible in the staff area and its subject to scrutiny and discussion by the entire staff. Any deletion is open to challenge at any time, and the mod has to be willing to argue their case to Brian if so required.

Let me also point out that none of the staff here is paid for their efforts - we do it for the love of the hobby. Day in day out we have to make a snap decision as to whether a particular post is in contravention of the rules, and we make mistakes on occasions.

Maybe Id make a different decision on any particular topic if Id had another can of beer beforehand, or if I wasnt frazzled after a bad day at work.

As Brian has said anyone who disputes a decision can pm him and put an objection in at any time. he owns the forum and the buck stops there.

This is going way off topic here but they were muslim EXTREMEISTS and the firsrst 20 yearr old was charged yesterday with inciting racial hatred and they were not the views of other beliefs of the muslim council.

Have to say I agree with AS, this is a technical forum not a religious one. We all have views on what is right and wrong especially in regard to recent events, but I don't think that here is the best place to discuss them.

Personally IMHO the mods do a great job and if anyone disagrees with a decision that they make, surely it is better to take it up with them in the first place politely via PM, and Brian in the second if you still aren't happy, rather than spitting your dummy out.

Seems to me that this thread is now going around in circles and heading drastically off topic.

1) once its run its course, going over the same ground over and over again

2) if it gets particularly heated about something and flame wars look imminent / are occurring.


In any case most likely it will fizzle out of its own accord in a few days anyway.

Totally agree with you Rick. It's ridiculous. So what if you get an infraction. Although the one's I got were totally unjustified and I will be speaking to my solicitor! Really though, deal with it and stop behaving like school children. Get a life for God's sake. Oops, no religion sorry. If you don't like the rules, eff off.

This WHOLE site is not about beating the system. We are not all interested in defrauding VM. There are many legitimate legal hobbists who discuss things on here, though I see you have never posted outside the cable section until now so perhaps you haven't had time to look through the rest of the site. And I find you telling anyone to STFU offensive and unnessecary.
Express your opinion by all means and respect others opinions. But that sort of abusive posting is in my opinion un called for no matter what the circumstances.
