Default Wingate

Before you tell me to do some research or read the forums or use the search button. I have. and found no clear solution to this. The solutions that worked for one person did not work for me (upgrading to latest wingate)

I kept getting Socket Error 10049 {Thd 5564} [socket #A28, (my ips here):53445 to :0] . I think the proxy was working because every time i refresh the page to get that message my ip is rotated. The Thd socket # and port after my ip change every time i refresh too.

Any things I can try?

Also im locked out of wingate. I kept my password blank and i accidently changed the username in the username box and i cant rememebr the default one.

wingate was a mare for me mate, go and get a duel load router.....some people in the shops look at your like a fool when you tell them you want a duel balancing router......so go on line and buy one, save you all the messing about...

Make sure you get a duel balancing, not a duel load on it's on, i.e one connection dies, the other kicks in......

the thing is when you do a speed test the file downloaded comes fropm one ip and is hence downloaded using one of your ip's only, as it is a whole file....

when you download bits, from bit torrent, you'll see the diff because its multiple files from multiple ip's

What are you talking about murkle?!

38Mbit/s / 8 = 4.75Mbyte/s, so no.

The only way you'll ever really max both connections would be using a good newsgroup server account.

I don't know what you're talking about with reg edit, but it was definately nothing like what mowax said. He told you to go and buy a router.

cheers, fitz

yeh 38Mbit/s = 4.75Mbyte/s + 20Mbit/s = 7.3Mbyte/s

7.3 with both modems

and the registry thing I was talking about

Yeah i know mate i was answering whether your 4Mbyte/s download was using both connections fully.

That is an interesting reg hack.
