Default Virgins new configs and tftp

In early 2009 VM have been upgrading their tftp servers, and are now using (so far) 3 national tftp servers, these are:

10.137.103.8
10.137.103.1
10.137.103.3

If you are on the new system, ANY of these addresses should work.
If you are NOT on the new system yet, the old addresses can still be found on this forum

Config Files:
Again as of 2009, VM while rolling out their new TFTP servers, they have changed the config file names, the new ones are:

Ex NTL: (ALSO PURE)
cmreg-mota4100-rts98.cm - 2MB down 256k up
cmreg-mota4100-bas.cm - 10MB down 512k up
cmreg-mota4100-rts22.cm - 20MB down 768k up
cmreg-ntlhm100-rts98.cm - 2MB down 256k up
cmreg-ntlhm100-bas.cm - 10MB down 512k up
cmreg-ntlhm100-rts22.cm - 20MB down 768k up
cmreg-ntlhm120-rts98.cm - 2MB down 256k up
cmreg-ntlhm120-bas.cm - 10MB down 512k up
cmreg-ntlhm120-rts22.cm - 20MB down 768k up
cmreg-ntlhm200-rts98.cm - 2MB down 256k up
cmreg-ntlhm200-bas.cm - 10MB down 512k up
cmreg-ntlhm200-rts22.cm - 20MB down 768k up
cmreg-ntlhm250-rts98.cm - 2MB down 256k up
cmreg-ntlhm250-bas.cm - 10MB down 512k up
cmreg-ntlhm250-rts22.cm - 20MB down 768k up

Ex Telewest:
cm-512-128 - 512k down - 128k up
cm-2148-256 - 2MB down - 256k up
cm-10240-512 - 10MB down - 512k up
cm-20480-768 - 20MB down - 768k up
stb-cpe2-1024-256 - 1MB down - 256k up - 2 IP's (???)
cm-cpe2-2148-256 - 2MB down - 256k up - 2 IP's
cm-cpe2-4096-384 - 4MB down - 384k up - 2 IP's
cm-cpe2-10240-512 - 10MB down 512k up - 2 IP's
cm-cpe2-20480-768 - 20MB down 768k up - 2 IP's
class-cm-rts01.cm - 20MB down 768k up

Any Network Configs:
cmbus-pkg1-nat-any.cm - 4MB Down 512k up
cmbus-pkg2-nat-any.cm - 10MB Down 769k up
cmbus-pkg3-nat-any.cm - 20mb Down 1mb up

However, some area's have Dynamic config files, if your config files show up as something like "8754nnsdfh88''#sd" then you have dynamic config files, there isnt much info around about getting around this at the moment, however initial reports seem to suggest you cant force a config and have to use the one that is assigned to the mac address

Add a capital letter on virmins so it blends in with all the other sticky's and also lock the topic or else people will post garbage on here.
If somebody has new info to add get them to PM you then add it on here.
Very surprised you did not do this in the first place.

Sniffed this config on 10.137.103.3 in an ex telewest area
class-cm-rts98c.cm believe to be 2mb dwn .256up. result gained through speed test.

New config on 10.137.103.3 in an ex telewest area. class-cm-rtsm10-nb.cm, believe to be 2mb dwn .256up but the upload was a little dicey as an average 2Mbdwn .450up .

.......................04/05/09.............................

In Wigan ex Telewest all configs starting CM - seem to have vanished. New configs as follows.
class-cm-rtsm10-nb.cm
class-cm-rts98-nb.cm
class-cm-rts98.cm
class-cm-rts01.cm
class-cm-rts98-nb.cm
class-cm-bas.cm
cmbus-pkg1-nat-any.cm

.................................................. ....................

Parricull.
