Default firmware needed 2 do webstar modem

hi there i was just wondering wat firmware or leads i would need 2 do a webstar modem it is the square black ones i av got the max233 lead will that do the modem that i am on about any help with this question would b very grateful also would haxorware go into the modem

but what chip is it? if the last 2 digits are 48 then throw it away coz its no good but if its 49 then you r good 2 go.

I would go for blackcat coz even if u happen to brick it you can debrick as long as you got the Blackcat lead.

4 repling abaaba i donot av blackcat lead i av only got 233 lead could i use that one i av done 250 255 with this lead is it the same set up as doing those type off modems were they av the pins already inside

LOL i suspect you have got a blackcat cable. cut the end off a printer lead (parallel)...done.

Sorry m8, yeah u can do that using the MAX23 but the pin outs are slightly different. Get hayes mannual guide an look section 15 (I think) and you will see a picture of where the leads should be going.

PS: Wbstars do have max232 pin heads in them.
