I bought a new TV and when I went on my 360 and turned PAL60 on (some games need it) my screen went in black and white (it also had sound)... I tried cycling through the sources and eventually I got it in colour so my TV can actually show it.

Any one know how I can fix it so that it always appears in colour?

The UK Standard is PAL50 (50Hz refresh rate), anything designed for the UK will be PAL50. 60Hz is used in N. America and parts of S. America, where the mains is 60Hz.

Sounds like the TV set you have has a few issues supporting 60Hz. I doubt there is much you can do about it, but I might be wrong.
