Hi the simpsons,
I'm sorry but I'm a little confused by your post as the BIOS has nothing to do with Windows only your motherboard. Are you stating that on boot up you are pressing the key, usually Delete, but can't gain access to the BIOS as it is password protected? Or are you saying that when trying to boot into XP normally you are getting the password screen? Have you tried leaving the password blank and pressing enter? Are you saying that you can access Windows XP in safe mode? |

Hi Mickha, no I can't gain access through keyboard to BIOS Window starts up but only goes to password even though no password has been put in, and administrator has no affect it comes up restricted. Yes I have tried leaving password blank, it logs in logs off and saves settings and in safe mode again password screen comes up. Thanks for your reply.

Only a high quality virus can stop you gaining access to your BIOS so more likely it is a problem with your keyboard, on boot up, is it a USB keyboard or PS2?
Which version of Windows XP are you running? Have you lost your XP Disk or didn't you ever have one? If one was not provided the XP installation files might be on a hidden partition on your hard drive. Can you please provide more details regarding your computer. There is some software to help bypass Windows XP password, as this password method isn't that secure, have a search using google. |

Is it a self built computer system or store bought?
Do you know the make/model number? Is the keyboard activating on boot up does the number lock light up? If you type "Bypass XP Password" into google you will get quite a few hits. |
