ok did what you said, and nudged the motor until i got a good signal. problem is that on that screen there is no save mode, so I exit it go back to satellite set up. signal still strong and i hit the yellow save button. I then scan that sat for chanels and it goes back to what it was before with nothing on it.
then when i go back to satellite settings the signal is garbage again. i must be doing something wrong but cant figure it out

is there an option for store position ? instead of a blind scan, try scanning the individual tp's in, or atleast the first one to confirm it's all working.

i take it you are using usals positioning mode on your receiver, there is no altering the motor with this as it uses your location cordinates to calculate the position of satellites and move the dish to positions

to be able to tweak the satellites position you need to alter the latitude or longitude you have entered a little or use diseqc 1.2 which has the fine tune east/ west function

i used the diseqc fine tune, and thats the problem, once i get the signal there is no save feature on that menu page. so i exit and then go back to satellite settings, signal still strong, and save from that menu. then i rescan the sat and it goes back to square one !!!
