Play it smart - play it safe.

The number one rule. ^

Provided you are sensible and don't consume huge amounts of bandwidth by downloading half your favourite movies in a week...

..There really should be no reason for your modem to get blocked, and again no reason why you should be caught.

There are plenty of people that are willing to state Virmin know exact what we do and when we do it..

I see it this way.. If there are members on here who have done this for 2-3year or more, and they still haven't had the modem blocked or been caught, it would suggest you will be fine regardless of any scaremongering.

Just remember the number one rule and you'll get along just fine.

right that makes sense, i was going to use it on my wifes machine and just use my subbed one on mine but that way i wouldn't need to use a wireless router so keeping it simple-cheers!

when i was first playing with my modem i disconnected my subbed modem totally. after a few days i actually got a "courtesy call" form VM asking if there was a problem with my broadband service. i just told them i'd been decorating the room it was in and thats why it had been disconneted. now i have them both on, on a splitter. and tbh i moslty use my subbed connection, the other one is good for a bit of extra downloading if / when i hit the dwnload cap.
