Codec issue

Hi installed my technotrend budget card today, after a bit of intense reading I finally got it fully working with dvbdream, I also have v plug doing its thing with progdvb, however the picture quality in progdvb is terrible which I believe is a codec issue as its all running sweet on dvbdream which I guess may have some inbuilt codec? anyway can anyone recommend the settings for video to use in progdvb or any codecs I may need to get.

Not used progdvb in ages, think it's something like options/direct show/graph (tab) then think there is a drop down for TV, change it (experement) to ""whatever" codecs there are on your machine.
