I have EV Max and EV 2007 Boxes and lately I'm having the same problem. Certain Channels are being displyed on the EPG and I get the Programme Listings but when I go to watch them I get a Black Screen and 'Please Insert Smart Card' message appears. I live in Dublin and I'm with NTL. I was hearing rumors they were doing something and that they were sending out new Smart Cards to NTL Digital Customers.

Any ideas?

Chorus/Ntl.. whatever they are called.. Yes, they are changing cards over to nagra 3.

Gutted for anyone in Dublin, I hope it can be resolved and sorted soon.
