You can use almost any HDD in a USB2 caddy. The USB Key drives may work although most don't transfer data fast enough for Hi-Def recording.

Hi thanks for the info, I was a bit confused as I have seen drives with twin usb connectors and the eurovox has only one, I'll look again.
ps is there a capacity limit on the hdd, that the ex7000 will work with? |

Some small unpowered USB caddy's have 2 USB connectors to get enough power. If you use a full size powered USB2 caddy, in theory, you can use any size HDD so long as it's FAT32. I've tested one with a 320GB HDD

Im using a 250gb Iomega Prestige portable harddrive which has two usb connectors, it is working fine with the ex7000 with only the one usb connected. The second USB connector is only required if the USB power is low from your system (usually the case for laptops, USB caddys etc). |
