At a loss with ambit 250
downloaded the tutorial by bad followd it upto the point where it said plug your modem in and get ready to press the p key. Never even got to the option of 1,2,p all igot was in the attached file. Any pointers would be great as to what i can do next.

think thats had the update. wait for someone else to confirm but i think its a console unlock and bootloader load with softjtag__________________

will do thanks thats a modem a got of nthell origianally and it followd me through virgin hasnt been touched since a left me old house 2 years ago

Yes you need to run the console unlocker, then softjatg the noisy bootloader, the reboot into "p" menu then flash the new firmware.
Console unlocker is pretty straight forward. One click and its done and ready for softjtag.

By the way, your HFC MAC is in that txt file you attached.

ar well free mac address , one question i have jtag but not console unlocker i have googled it but all links appear to lead to sites that are just adds, cant find it in downloads sec, any chance of a link to it that works please. An thanks for the replys/

yup got those as well and it gets to the end and says server timed out at the last 256 bytes of the file ar well al keep trying to find a link that works
