In your expert opinion, in 2009 what is the best firmware / software (inc. versions) for modding a SB4200e?
I'm new to modding, and having scoured a load of forums, no one anywhere has given recommendations about the best of the latest firmware/software out there. I currently have some old hackware & Sigma I am playing around with, it seems a bit aged though. So who'll be first to get us started? |

The SB4200e is a little old, would be better with SB5100 or SB5101.

Haxorware won't run on the 4200, neither will the 4200 achieve the higher speeds of the BCM3349 processor based modems.
I suggest, you upgrade to a better modem, I recommend Ambit 250/255 or Motorola SB5101e. e version runs anywhere whereas i version only runs on TW and N*L. If you are ex c+w you will need e version. |
