Hi mate,
The old sky signal was pointing at 19.2e but the problem you have is that the lnb on the end is anologue where your new kit would be digital, thats unless someone has changed the lnb in recent years. You should not get a signal normally. ki

An lnb is an lnb. It doesnt know if signals are analogue or digital.
You may get something, but if its an old single band lnd it wont tune higher than 11700khz

The Echostar 3000 was a good receiver in its day (Ive got one, but was replaced by my dreambox a couple of years back). Its a perfectly capable receiver if a bit dated and slow at changing channels. Id never get rid of my Echostar 3000 under any circumstances.
Echostar support ceased years ago, and whilst the official firmware was still available from the Echostar site last time I looked, as far as Im aware its not possible to flash the boxes with modified software like with many other boxes. The cams and cards are more or less useless now unless you plan to buy some official subscription cards. To sum up - you have a nice receiver to learn the hobby with. Expect to get no more than free to air channels with it unless you buy subscription cards. There may be one or two channels still available with the cams and cards but theres no major packages open these days.
