isn't this 50mbit config a trap? did all this not start becasue they twigged we were using the config on docsis 1.1?
I agree with that ......
Abuse of the 50M config has brought this down on all our heads !!!

now maybe we will pay for it ( all though not literally pay )

Thats not unusual, forcing off, any valid mac i have found works, and some are months old!

It seems as mentioned elsewhere forcing works, but only with 0002 macs, and only in certain areas, but they don't seem to last very long.

Forcing disabled, as mentioned all valid macs i have found work, auto-serving works from time to time, and sometimes gives a better speed, but mainly offers little above the macs speed.

If its any help, been using some Webstar 2100r2's, they seem to work pretty well, but don't like multiple torrents very much, good that I only run 1-2 concurrently anyway

Edit: Updated to haxorware 1.1 rev31, still up and running, several days same mac, forced 20meg. Pretty quick speeds, but being sure not to generate too much traffic atm

ok so i know configs are written like this: CMREG-NTLHMXXX-RTSXX.CM, so what does it mean if the config comes back as BSGVCAXXXXXNCXVXXXXXXXK?

The XX represents numbers i blanked em as i wasnt sure if i was allowed to put em and i didnt wanna get told off for a dumb mistake

Its encrypted.

Use a standard format config name, they are available here:
http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/55...-and-tftp.html

if you use a 00:02 mac, you can force any of the those configs, if it works for your area, currently still working on 20meg forced for me.

Right..

Try to tell us something, given you have said nothing.

What is the modem? Have you tried a different mac? Tell us more.

It's good to see mate, I too self taught, with the help of a few people on several forums.

It has only taken me a month to pretty much know how to fix any problems my modem might come across, and it was well worth the challenge.

Good luck, any more questions, please ask away
