Smile car alarm help required

Hi guys wondering if someone can help me with a Laserline 968 car alarm. Id like to turn off the auto re-arm option.
The problem i have is if i unlock the car it auto locks itsel and arms the alarm after 3mins or so. Having 2 young kids this is a real pain ,no fun having 2 crying kids in the car and you locked outside with the keys in the ignition.
Ive not got an owners manual but emailed Laserline and awaiting a reply. No mention of this system on there website.
Ive noticed 4 switches on the unit itself numbered 1-4 and there is an OFF position.Just curious if flicking these switches may be turn the auto rearm off or is there a way to set it for a period longer than 3 or so minutes, any help is gratefull.regards.

I have same problem with a Laserline 919. I telephoned them on 01925 265252 (assuming you are in UK) and they advised me to set switches 4,5,6 on the unit within the dashboard to the "on" position. I have yet to try this, but thoguht the info. may be of some use to you. I spoke to a guy called "Peter" and he was very helpful.
Cheers

An update:
Cured my alarm today of the annoying re-arm thing.
The main box was under the dash in my case next to the steering column. Just the sounder was under the bonnet. I had to put switch 6 to the "on" position (4&5 already on). The dip switches are in a recess on the main box, and a magnifying glass was necessary to read the numbers, the "on" position was marked in white letters. The alarm sounded as I moved the switch over, but reset OK with the remote. I can now lock the car with the key and have it un alarmed should I choose, which is useful when I leave the dog in charge.
Good luck.
