You should be able to go through safe mode and log in as administrator then go to your account and change password.

Hi if your pc is not under warranty you can give this a try if you want you will have rest your bios back up after as it will or may go to default setting not 100% on this open case and remove the cmos battery little silver one on the motherboard leave out for a few minutes put it back in this used to work under xp as it was saved to the cmos i know you are using vista no battery no backup power .

Firstly windows has an account called "administrator" which doesn't normally show up on the welcome screen but you can get to it either by booting in safe mode (it does show up on the welcome screen when in safe mode) or by pressing ctrl+alt+del at the welcome screen to get an old fassioned login dialog. Often this account will have no password on it.

If the administrator account is locked out or has a password on it then there is a windows password recovery tool named "windows login recovery". Download the program from windowsloginrecovery.com and burn a boot CD with the program, insert it into the problem computer and your password will be reset to “Blank”.

i use comodo as its in the top 3 av`s

i know its something lol as its going to be a hack to get pw, just warning thats all

no disrespect m8 but ive used it twice before (last week) uve had the cd's about a year now one for vista and one for xp

ps have you downloaded the live cd?
