Last night was a relatively good night for getting a sniff of some H signals on 7w in this part of the south east. I could lock 12226 and 12303 but both were breaking seriously and not really watchable; the signal was also strong enough eventually to scan correct channels names instead of 'TV 1 12226' etc that initially came up before nudging the dish.

Any signal reports on nilesat H's in the UK lately?

Yeah, Hs are no no at the moment; worse still they've bu99ered some of the Vs by changing fec to 5/6!

PS: Robbo, how are you with 12054V and 12130V (assuming a 1m dish)?

Nilesat 201 is due to orbit in early 2010 and when she goes into service I virtually guarantee 7W reception will be worse in the UK than it is atm.

12054V- Yes getting that with no-pixelation......just by a knats whisker.

12130V, bit better that one.

Yes, I knew about the FEC change, and initially I had lost 12054V. I then ordered a couple of Inverto Black Ultra LNBs to try out, and managed to get 12054V back again. Oh and I can't get it on my TM1000 super, only on my TM5200 ( not tried my TM6800 or TM600 yet)

Yep, come Nilesat 201, I'm gonna be well miffed.

Thanks Robbo; by the way where did you buy the Inverto Black Ultra --- UK or foreign suppliers (and roughly how much)?

It looks like it's a good time to start keeping an eye on Nilesat H TPs again (early this year?). In the wee hours of today 12226 and 12303 were locking albeit with severe pixellation.

Ahh, just noticed your other post as well, regarding the Inverto black ultra.

I got them from ebay Germany as it was easier that way. Grax also has them, but the shipping charge was not worth it for just one or two.

I paid Euro38.76 (£36) for 2, and sold one on ebay for £20, so basically it cost me £16 ish.

I'll check later to see what H's I can get.

12226H at a quick glance, with no pixelation, plus some others look promising.
