Default Setting up a monoblock

Hi could anyone point me to a guide on how to set up a monoblock at 13e hotbird and 19.2e astra please??

I seem to get some channels from 13e but not sure if im on the correct satellite as the channel i want rtbf i cannot seem to pick up and the same with the rai channels on 13e.

Im using an 80cm dish in south west England and have the right lnb if looking from front as the clamped lnb.

Thanks

Hi,

With a monoblock, when looking towards the sky, the right hand side of the LNB is the most eastern satellite, in your case 19.2E. This means that when you have the right hand LNB in the clamp, the dish is focussed on 19.2E, with the offset LNB (on the left) picking up from Hotbird.

The easiest way to set up a monoblock with Astra 19.2E on the focus is to use an ordinary single LNB to start with, and set the dish up for 19.2E. The simply replace the LNB with the monoblock, (right hand side in holder) Then adjust the diseqc switching in the receiver (usually position 2) to get the Astra channels. The left hand side of the monoblock needs to be a bit lower than the right, because the elevation of Hotbird is higher.

Have you made sure that your transponder list is up to date and includes all the Hotbird transponders.
