I've put in the config file and a mac but still can't get online, the sync and ready lights don't come on at all and the send light is flashing the recv light is permanent.

Could someone advise me on where I'm going wrong, its got the haxorware version 1.1 revision 30 firmware on which was flashed on for me by someone else

when I put the mac in do I just put in in the top one because some people are saying I need to also put it in the usb section and change the last digit
I have tried both ways

Hi

You need to put in both sections with changing 1 digit higher in the usb mac.

As said you need to try different macs, you are not trying to force a config are you.

I am a complete virgin here and have no idea who, why or what to force

Im not too hot on modems either to be honest but maybe im wrong on a few Ive done you could force a config file with the mac addy to get higher speeds but I think in some areas you cant do that now.

I think you need to scan for or get macs with a config file related to that mac. I did a modem 250 for a friend at the weekend and I was at it for ages before managed to get online.

What does is it say on the haxorware page, is it operational.
When you click on Internet explorer does it take you to VM activation page.

bad mac but once you in activation page you can sniff for decent macs
