I have been using my Eurovox MAX V for around 12 months now, with my original (virgin) box sitting in the cupboard gathering dust. I am going to put it in the bedroom as I am paying for TV size L. The problem is that when i turn the box on, alot of the channels say that i have not subscribed the channel. I still pay for my virgin subscription so should definately get these channels. I know I can just ring up and make up something as to why I have not been watch it but the problem that worrys me is I have a modem flashed with Haxorware not the original still have that, so I have had to change my IP and MAC address. Now when they send a signal through to my original box it could pick up a change. I pay 3 for £30. Any help on this would be great.

Then connect your subbed box in its original location and leave the box on for a little while, this should update everything and you should then in turn receive the channels you pay for. Of course you won't get any you arn't subscribed to, but you know that already right? ![]() If this doesn't solve the problem, then as you said, you may need to call virmin, but at the end of the day, you can play dumb to the issue, explain it went funny overnight or whatever, they can't prove anything. I would certainly try putting the box where it was originally first though, and leaving it without splitters connected etc for several hours.. Only then if there is no change do i recommend calling virmin, after all why waste a day at home waiting for joe bloggs to turn up if you can fix it yourself. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Try a warm reset from the EM mate.

Hi thanks for help, did as you said (MORRISOFT) put the subbed box in its original location and set the subbed modem back up rang VM they send a signal through to my original box did not work, said he would ring me back in 30 mins. Rang back still nothing so have the wait 24hrs if no change ring them and they would send a engineer but its all just come back on.
Great no engineer coming round. Cheers for all the advice. |
