Default lexmark x5650 all in one

recently bought one of these and thought I would get a remanufacted lexmark 31 photo cartridge , have now bought two from different sources, but the pictures are rubbish they are shaded all over with what looks like black ink. I have run printer maintenance and cleaning but they are still bad pictures are remanufactured cartridges a waste of time. Have tried original black and colour cartridge and everything prints ok. any ideas

A new Epson printer will probably be cheaper than a new set of original cartridges for the lexmark, and Epson copy cartridges are fine and cheap (about 2 or 3 quid a shot). Definatly a better long term prospect.

a bit old but still relevant. I have an Epson DX4000(manufactured after march-after the new chip) And I bought myself a kit from eBay-refillable ink cartridges, 400ml of dye ink(pigment ink is better, but I didn't do much research until after I bought the ink! and dye ink is good for normal uses) and 4 syringes

The kit altogether cost £25, but now its like Im filling inks up for 25p a cartridge-Well worth the money
