Default Bricked 250

Hi

I got two 250 and I bricked both of them while working on them late into the night when I could have waited till next day, so a lesson learnt here for me lol.

Anyway both didnt of the modems didnt have "p" option but with unlocker and softjag got it back. Flashed with haxorware and going fine but at the end I pressed no to saving image instead of yes on both modems (late and tired).

So both modems bricked I was told, although shows as connected in network connections and hyper but no output and couldnt access haxorware page.

So off with the tsops and out with the willem and flashed orig flash and bootloader and soldered back but its still same and on one the c251 resister came off and got lost, this is the one on the front side of tsop, is this resistor crucial or can I get away without it.

Can these modems be sorted or are they for the bin.

Regards

Get a Webstar 2100, going very cheap on your favourite auction website

Easy quick and fun to modify.

Sucessfully done two now, one made 2006, another 2008. Total time spent for both: 1.5 hours approx.

Hi

Thanks for replies Im just doing this for self education, the first modem I did a few months ago was a webstar and it was a doddle so I thought I`d do a 250. Have put haxoware on a 250 before and no probs but these 2 are friends and it was late and didnt pay attention at the end so ended up bricking them.

Anyway latest is I flashed a haxorware dump onto it thanks to a member on here, id chip, erasing and programming went fine and soldering is good but still same, connects to net connections but cant access haxor page and cant ping modem either and only 2 lights power and ethernet. Hyper connects but doesnt show anything.

Trying to find what went wrong cos even though I messed up initially after flashing orig bootloader and even haxor dump should be up and running.

Thats on the 1st one gonna try and see what happens with 2nd one now.

Regards

Hi

Nah wouldnt like to sell knowing they aint working this is just for learning purposes and anyway they belong to friends, aint going to be very happy but I did warn them it could go pear shaped but I didnt think it would this way lol.

What I cant understand is shouldnt they be up and running again having had an orig bootloader flashed and when that didnt worked erase tsops again and put on a haxorware dump on it shouldnt that have resolved it.

Only get the power and ethernet light blinking slowly which indicates that they are still bricked..... how come they have been reprogrammed.

Dont understand whats going on here.

Regards
