Exclamation Eurovox Receivers - Is This The End

Hi Guys, I am just a bit worried about the current talks about Nagra 3 taking over Ireland and just wandering as I live in England will it be worth me buying a Eurovox tomorrow for a friend. The situation in Ireland has got me a bit spooked about how long these boxes will last in England before Nagra 3 hits us. I understand that we will not have them for life but will it be worth buying one tomorrow. I am guessing before Nagra 3 hits us there will be a Mega-roll and we will have to wait for a new firmware, but could Vermin's financial issues delay them from implementing Nagra 3.

If anybody could help or advise it will be much appreciated.

Thanks

I have said repeatedly that I don't think that N3 will ever hit England - VM have already announced they will change to an IP based system over the next few years.

Its just rumours that people make from one thing into another. They said we was going to be hit in January and there was a big commotion about it but it never happened. Lol.

I don't think VM will go down the Nagra3 route. There are a few factors for this. Firstly the expense in this current climate. Secondly losing minimum subscriptions as existing customer leave for Sky as afterall that is the content which most people use these boxes.

VM doesn't make much money for charging Sky access therefore they are not too concerned with tight security.
