Exclamation Modem Help

Hi Guys...

I am using an infinte modem and have been working ok up until yesterday, it went off and I changed the MAC address of my router and everything worked fine until this morning. I have tried to change the MAC of router again and not having any joy. I have tried using other MAC addresses on Modem too, I am not forcing config so just using the standard speeds the MACs are for.

I have tried to log into the infinite page, but the user name and password I enter does not work. When using the ambit tool I need to enter a different username and password than the standard admin - infinite one but this does not work.

Please can someone give me some guidance onto how to get this up and running, currently using neighbours internet :-).

Take out cable feed..

set you ip manual

192.168.100.10 (press Tab)
3rd line
192.168.100.1

Now plug in modem wait for it to connect then try the 250 configer also make sure you have working macs

if you have changed the password for the 192 page and you cant remember it you will need to reflash the modem with the max232

for browser try this

Username: Infinite
Password SetValue

Copy that

hope this helps

Thanks for your help, the username and passowrd does not help :-(.

I have tried chaning the router MAC (not chaning Modem MAC) a number of times but not being able to log on.

Can anyone advise me on what I need to do to get back up and running. I am using an Infinite flashed modem and Ambit Config Tool version 0.972b to set the MACs on there.

I have also just read there is a new version of Haxoware available, is it worth updating my modem to this, if so can this be done without any special cables and by a novice like myself.

Thanks for all your help in advanced :-)

It can be done via ethernet if you have the telnet password

Infinite

SetValue

Note: all 3 caps must be there

Upgrading from previous shelled firmware (infinite) or Haxorware 1.0

Set your computers ip to 192.168.100.10
Set up a TFTP server with haxorware11rev30.bin in its root
Make sure the haxorware webgui isn't currently open
Connect to modem with hyperterminal or telnet to the IP 192.168.100.1
Enter your username and password
cd /ip
ipconfig 1 release
y
dload -i 1 -l -f 192.168.100.10 haxorware11rev30.bin
y
cd /
reset

Haxorware 1.1 should now boot
