He is the one that is 100% wrong, or you are because you have completely misinterpreted what he was discussing with you. The fact of the matter is all channels that you recieve from your supplier apart from the FTA channels have a level of encryption. Currently the eurovox's and all the other units have a modified firmware that will only allow them to unencrypt the nagra1 system and as satsmo says if certain channels are using the Nagra2 or Nagra3 level of encryption there is no way physically possible that in their current state the boxes can unencrypt these channels regardless of what your paying for on your official unit.
