i really hope this is a prob at there end. the 'loop system' mentioned in another thread doesn't really sound feasable.

what i know so far is this.....

you cannot renew a lease on a clone, only get a new lease.

the lease doesn't die, and modem doesn't go from operational, the traffic just dies.

i think that there is a prob with a existing registered modem/nic retreving its already leased ip.

if this is vermin doing this intentionally.....

1, they thought it up pretty quickly.
2, they put it into action pretty quickly.
3, its costing them money
4, it may possibly cost them customers

also, if my threory is any good, there is a lot of 'dormant' leases which, would cause further problems... like having twice or even three times as many connections to the cm service.

to VM: can you please stop now, we get the msg and promise not to force 50mbit anymore.

10 out of 10, just what iv been thinken!

ps, i promise not to force 50mbit anymore!

I agree entirely.

Patience is always your friend, if you have time for it

Edit: Modem back, still same mac, config, eth mac + serial no. Patience likes me
