We have known for some time that Canal Digital are doing a card swap and so will not be available for much longer but as we've had it open for longer than expected we can't complain.
As of future developments you'll have to wait and see if we get anything else, otherwise you can subscribe to a package like DigitAlb, or Tring, but this will not get you the same quality of picture, or quantity of sporting events as currently covered.
The only other option is C/S (Card Sharing).

That depends very much on your receiver set up.

PLEASE NOTE - c/s is ILLEGAL and you wont get anything more than general hints on the forum - anyone giving too much detail could theoretically be prosecuted

On most forums, including this one, the simple answer is don't ask ;-) the subject is taboo, due to it being totally illegal.

Something to consider with CS is that you are traceable despite what those running premium servers may say. Some would argue the likelihood of being caught is low and that may indeed be the case, but it still exists, though perhaps of more concern to the server owner.

My advice is to stick to a small group of individuals you know - buy a card, split costs, and share. Or each share a card. Being a little more security concious (or perhaps paranoid?) than many others, I'd avoid sharing and accessing a share of a satellite provider based in your country.

Hi alll!!

With canal nordic do you know if the subs card needs to be paired with the receiver? If not would it be possible for someone in norway/sweden etc to take out a sub and post the card over (if you could find someone willing to do it!!)??

There has been talk of this for over a year now, and I suspect when new cards are issued, they will be paired with the box. You could just have the box sent over too or look for an alternative provider. The latter option might be more suitable and perhaps cheaper but it may come at the cost of picture quality.

Cheers,

Sphen.
