Put a Base Mac in the box in the top navbar ove the app in this format 11:22:33:44:55:66 & press on the righthand side of the Discover button
and tick "Brute Force" and then press "DISCOVER" You can put a mac in from any UBR it dont matter but the most recent the mac the better the Results. The macs it brings back [whilst using a base mac] YOU CAN USE ON YOUR OWN UBR but obviously some will have a mac conflict, although every-one ive tryed [for educational reasons] up to now have worked with no problems. The software is only in beta stage atm and the next release Solstar is working on should really kick **** ... When using the "Brute Force" option the software scans your ISP Tftp Server for Working Macs and delivers them with there configfile names [boot file]. It also has the option to just sniff your ubr for Macs just like any other sniffer although using this option you WILL Have to trade with someone to get a working mac for your ubr. Ohhh yea and DONT use the "Brute Force" option to often as this will just ring alarm bells to your ISP Server and you will invoke a investigation which belive me when i say You Do Not Want This !!! Use as and when Macs are needed, and by that i dont meen brute forcing 100 macs every time Lol just take 1 or 2 So Just To Sum Up 1. When using a base Mac YOU Can use these Macs in your own UBR/Node. 2. Using with-out a base Mac you Will Need to trade these Macs with someone else to obtain a working Mac for your UBR/Node. Note. If you use a Ambit250 Base Mac [cmreg-ntlhm250-bund03.cm] this will bring you just Ambit250 Macs Back, the same applys for Ambit200, Ambit120, Surfboards ect, ect thumb_yello YOU MUST HAVE .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0.AND THE VISUAL J# REDISTRIBUTABLE PACKAGE INSTALLED. HERE ARE LINKS FOR BOTH: .NET FRAMEWORK 2.0: ___www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&DisplayLang=en VISUAL J# REDISTRIBUTABLE PACKAGE: ___www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=F72C74B3-ED0E-4AF8-AE63-2F0E42501BE1&displaylang=en Hope this helps people from Underground Modems :P

I have tried a few and all I get is VM activation page why is this? Should I try others or will they all go to this.

Just to add this can only bring macs back on your OWN ubr in ex Telewest areas. If your in an ex Telewest area you will have to trade.

Hi, thanks for the guide.
May be a silly question, but what do you mean by a base MAC, is this a MAC that is working in my area from another, or a MAC that is from my area (ie subbed modem). Thanks again |

@parricull try this thanks to monkey and mack370if it works
here is a slight problem brute forcing in that area yes. You need to change any of the 4th or 5th byte like ive marked in red below for it to make any effect. 00:00:00:00:00:00 e.g. Base MAC = 00:00:00:00:00:00, new Base MAC = 00:00:00:00:00::00 or have you tryed this noticed you on ugm
