most sniffed macs which appear to be 2meg, actually give 10 meg throughput in my recent discoveries.
It would seem the transition from 2 to 10 meg has indeed happened.

When the update is finished, all configs will be running on DOCSIS3.0 so say goodbye to getting online once everyone has been changed over!

Has this been confirmed for 10meg? I know 20 and 50 are destined for docsis3.0, but are you sure 10 is too?

Yeah, this was the plan all along, upgrade them to 10mb DOCSIS3.0 and get rid of all of us

Don't know the figures, but given most households can now get virmin services, it wouldn't surprise me if the total cost for replacements was simply too un-plausable an option. Not a single modem out there, apart from the new 50meg subbed modems, can actually support docsis 3.0, unless I am missing something here. The Webstar & others are docsis 1, 1.1 and 2 compatible, as for docsis 3, the Webstar is deffinately not.

Does it really matter if 10 MB gets moved to docsis3.0 ?
If they are moving 20 & 50 MB to docsis3.0 that means we can only get 10 MB through the cloned modem BUT seeing as everyone with a subbed modem will be getting atleast 10 MB anyway because thats the lowest speed they do. Correct me if im wrong i dont know much about all this. |
