i have a samsung smt 2110c box from virgin it is my original box that i pay for from virgin but its only got smallest package but i also have a chipped box witch looks like has died on me the thing i wanted to know is i have taken the chipped card and placed it into my proper tv box and it looks like i have all the channels even lets you put pin in for movies but screen goes black also i can go ondemand and get music free but it says films have to be paid for so if i buy a film will i get charged or not with it not being my proper card that came with the box cheers kellie.

This should not work at all.

Be careful what you do, remember if its your subbed box, then talkback will be enabled, and they will be able to detect what card/image is in use, the card status should show as not paired.

The card and the box are paired, they will not work properly without a paired card.

You said the screen goes black for movies, this sort of proves my point, if you cannot watch any of the sly movie channels, then the card is deffinately being noted as not paired by the box.

You would be wise to return the correct card to the box, as virmin may eventually know what you have done if you continue to use the wrong card.

yer it does say not paired but the channels are all in white none are darkened out but i carnt get the channels to work so when i put my chipped card into my proper tv box virgin know is that what your saying best not try it then thanks

I cannot be certain whether or not it is detectable or not, but the box CAN talk back, and if they notice its not paired they might ask questions, thats all.

If the channels don't work, its due to the bk + ird not matching. Don't even mess with subbed equipment.

If the Pace 4001 really is dead, get another one, or try a 2100 Samsung.
