Default No channels, scanning doesn't work, help?

I've got a Sagem dbox2. I set up to scan for my local area, tried a slow scan and after scanning all 376 transponders (about 45mins) I get a message saying 'Error – No channels were found! Please execute a scan'. I've tried this a few times and the same thing keeps happening!

Is there any reason why this is happening? When I first turned the box on I got the same message 'Error – No channels were found! Please execute a scan', so I have no channels, not even FTA, help?

it's not what you want to hear, but it sounds like a faulty tuner...

I got the same problem today and could only fix it by a re-flash. The good news is your tuner is fine, the bad news is that I think this will happen again as V**gin seem to be rolling this "problem" out across the UK. 1st noticed in Preston a few weeks back now in Liverpool today.

Reflash and rescan, good luck

Got to say I had the same problem a couple of weeks back In Teeside - the box found the channels on the scan but when I saved then went to tv mode - no channels found.
I was also unable to ftp a saved sevices.xml to the box no matter how I tried.
I tried to reflash using IFA but it kept just booting normally and wouldnt accept the flash request.
Eventually I managed it by using FlashXP and it fixed it. Its working fine now (touch wood) so its obviously not something Virgin are transmitting (continuously) else mine would have gone again.

Peter

Edit-- I assume the box was working before the problem arose and its not just a new box (to you) that needs an up-to-date image?
