Hi all, glad i found this place as there were some less than friendly answers to my question on DS !

...anyway... I have Modded smasung box (off an ex installer...) will it work in a different county as im looking to move ? someone told me they have different codes ?

nope it wont, your problem would be getting the box flashed with the right software, but then the chips might not be designed to work with that software

I would have thought it will work as long as you programme the correct software for the relevant cable area (as long as the area you're moving to has cable). But don't take my word for it mate - I'm not an expert!

Yes it will work mate (unless your moving to a extw area) but you'll have to chage the net id.
Think Lacutas read your post as different country and not county lol

So did I at first Ron! Needless to say I was a bit bemused when I read he was moving from Bournemouth to Swindon! Lol

If you are moving the box to an Ex C&W or TW area, you will need to manually set the Net ID but if you are moving into a Pure area, the Net ID will set itself (providing the frequency and symbol rate is correct).
