Default General box question - Davic/Docsis.

I'm trying to create a definitive list of box compatability, but am struggling...there seems to be a lot of confusion out there, and now quite a bit in my head. So I'll ask a few questions and if anyone can answer any of them I'd be greatful, but please, only answer if you know. I don't mean to sound funny, but bad information is worse than no information, especially if you plan to pass that info on to others.

1) Davic and Docsis. As I understand it, only pure areas are Davic, the rest (TW and CW) are all Docsis. Based on that, any Docsis box will work in a CW or TW area. Is this correct?

2) Davic/Docsis boxes. Some boxes are compatable with Davic and Docsis areas, such as the 4010 and 2110. Does this mean that a Davic box can go straight to a Docsis area, and vice versa?

3) Does anybody have a copy of a file/tut called Know your Davic/Docsis?

4) Davic only boxes. Is the only Davic only box the 4001?

That's all for now, and many thanks in advance.

PC

Edit to add: I have used the search function, and found various bits of info, but some of it conflicts with other info I've read. Besides, I'd like it if anyone could answer these questions for my own curiousity
