messed up settings

Hi, can anyone help? I knocked out all of the settings on my dreambox, I managed to get back astra 19 but cant seem to retrieve astra 28. When I do an auto scan nothing happens, the manual is not very clear to me so I am fishing in the dark. Words like toneburst I just dont have a clue, I have been set up with a motorised dish and as I said I've got astra 19 back then the wizard says "do you want to have a default sat" so I put in astra 19 am I doing wrong? When I do an auto scan on astra 28 nothing happens,

19.2E is the default sat for the Dreambox being from Germany.

To get all the other sats, you need to install a satellites.xml file and set up your motor details. First, which Dreambox do you have? The installation is slightly different for the enigma1 and enigma2 models.

I would suggest you download and install the Likra settings if you want to do it the easy way.

I would strongly recommend that a new Dreambox user should try installing all the motor and sat settings and scans manually at least once so that they learn what is going on and understand the system a little better. Having said that, the enigma1 machines like the 7000 are much easier than the enigma2 boxes because the image software is more user friendly and allows more control.
