Sci-Fi Prgrams

Morning all,

I have a question on sci-fi programs etc. I currently have S*y and am not having a good time with the HD receiever, 4 in 6 months !! Anyway, can you get programs like those on sci-fi / fx from other sats without having to pay those people above ??

At the moment there are a couple of scifi chanels on 1w, with the right equipment. Rumours are that the encryptions will be made secure over the next few weeks though, so might be better to wait and see what happens there first before making any major purchases.

Not really rumour
DigiTV have been putting out new cards for months and i think that at least 95% have new cards now

I count everything as rumour until it actually happens. How many dates have been flying around for C+? We should have lost this beginning of feb according to the rumours. I have no doubt that we will loose digitv and C+ at some point, rumours say it will be very soon, then again rumours say that premiere will be back with us soon. Until it actually happens its a rumour, and of course some rumours are more believable then others. BTW I have also heard that digi are in financial trouble and that could stop the encryption change going ahead. Might also mean we loose it anyway because they go bust. And weather it's rumour or not I don't think I would change my advice as there is alot going on at the moment and we need to wait for the dust to settle so to speak to find out where we are with everything.

DigiTV have been handing out cards for months(pictures are on various Forums if you look) and they already use Nagra3 alongside 2 so it's already to far ahead to stop the change
