strange issue

hi all, me and my dad both have sub'bed modems however mine is working and his has stopped working. My dad has a 255 and i have a 4100. Both modems work at my house but nethier works at his house. His normal modem works fine at his house. Any idea on what could be causing the issue?

Could be a number of issues, what fw has he got?

also, when you say subbed, I assume you mean modded?

Nic banned?

Have tried changing it?

how do i change that? i dont have the max232 cable thou, if the Nic is banned surly his normal modem woudnt work but im guessing im wrong

no your right if his nic was banned his modem wouldn't work

thats what makes it strange, non of the modded ones work at his house but his normal one works but the modded ones work fine at my house

I didn't realise he used the 2 modems on 1 PC errmmm

and he uses the same nic for both then?

ya tryed both modded on a pc via ethernet and via router also tryed them on a xbox 360 and dont work but the normal legit one works everyway with no issues, been trying to fix it all day and doing our heads in
