N*L channels disappearing on Eurovox in Ireland

Most of the Sky Movies channels have gone today, along with a whole lot of others over the past few weeks...MUTV, LFCtv, Setanta Sports 1..etc

N*L are doing this in stages, expect your Eurovox to be rendered useless in a matter of weeks.

surley us in brittain should not get same problem as we r not linked 2 ntl we r vm correct me if i am wrong will it take longer 2 do in brittain than it as in ireland or can the just reset there program they av 2 nag 3 or do we av 2 get new boxes or cards sent out

You need to relax a little, I have told you in at least two other threads the answer to this question, sure you have reworded it some across each post, but please..

Listen to whats been said, if VM do choose nagra 3, there will be plenty of warning, for one new cards would have to be issued. Don't you think some members who ARE subscribed would inform us of such an event?

And if they do decide not to choose nagra 3, and move to the other rumoured new Ip based system, then again, we would likely need some sort of hardware upgrade in one way or another.

There is no need to keep asking the question, you'll only start to annoy moderators!

So seriously, worry not, for the time being at least.

@ m r mawdsley - that's an unknown - but don't forget the changes to the keyrolls happened in Ireland first before they happened in the UK.

Wouldn't surprise me if the UK providers are waiting to see how smoothly the upgrade happens here and also get an idea of how costly such a move can be.

@fj - indeed the end is nigh (but it was great while it lasted)

@morrisoft - the warnings came here and for most it is simply a case of being issued a with a new card. For some few it did involve issuing new boxes - but that was where the customers box was obsolete

Just think about the senior members advice, I only know what I know because I've read the forum practically topic by topic (I'm very sad, get over it ) and seen the advice and posts of senior members, and learnt from it.

You'll be fine until we know something, and when we do, I'm sure you'll hear about it.
