Store Parameters [n] just press enter ?

Hi guy's, well it looks like I'll be flashing my first modem, hopefully tomorrow as my MAX232 should arrive in the post

As this is the first modem I'll be flashing I've went over the tut's over and over and I think I get the jist of it and I'm pretty confident I can flash but one thing I'm not sure on is the part in the tut's that say "
Store Parameters [n] just press enter".

I'm going to be flashing an Ambit 250 or 255 with Haxorware 2MB file but in all tut's I've read it say's "
Store Parameters [n] just press enter", but I've seem some post's about that say to "
Store Parameters [Y] and hit enter.....

So just to be on the safe side I have to ask, so is it "
Store Parameters [n] just press enter" or........
Store Parameters Y and press enter ?

'Board IP Address [0.0.0.0]: 192.168.100.1 and just press enter 5 times slowly incase you miss anything, after you press Enter 5 times you should stop at the 'Main Menu' which has a load of options, you must press - d and Enter, you will get 2 more things up which are -

Board TFTP Server IP Address [0.0.0.0]: 192.168.100.10

Enter TFTP Filename[]: haxorware_1.0rc.4_Ambit_Ready.bin (You can copy and paste this) hit enter

You should then see the Pumpkin starting the TFTP of Haxorware etc

HSC failed on Image 0 Program Header

Next when asked do you wish to store it then press Y and Enter, then sector to Start press 0 (zero) enter, modem will start working its magic.

Store Parameters [n] n just press enter

The modem will do what it does and go back to the main menu again :-)

Hi Baked188, yes I've seen that info in tut's, believe me I've read every tut I could find, but as I said, I'm seeing some posts where people have "just pressed enter" and have had probs and the replies to the thread was to press "y" and enter.

I only have the 1 modem so don't want to f*uck it up but I've done my homework on it I think, so lets' hope I get my MAX232 tormorrow so I can have a pop at it!

when it ask's you to store it press y but when asked if you want to store parameters after press n (the very last question before you reboot modem with new firmware)

I got the MAX232 adapter in the post this morning so I'll give it a go later when I get home.
