People in leic (or anywhere needs testing) if your having problems with modems dial into telnet enter these cmds.
make sure you know your telnet user & pass, open command prompt then type:

CM> telnet
CM> o 192.168.100.1
CM> username root
CM> password admin
above user & pass are whatever you changed them too, if you did'ent as above.

CM> cd cm
CM> scan_s
if screen is scrolling looking for freqs

CM> cd /n/d
CM> enable bpi true
CM> bpi_version 0
CM> write
this disables BPI+ and skipps the cert verification

use a 00:02:8A:##:##:## mac's if you can, they are from ambit120 modems which I find work all the time. then you should be able to force using cmreg-ntlhm120-bas.cm or cmreg-ntlhm120-rts22.cm

found today that my tftp servers are swapping and changing.

one min its the national ones, next min its something new.

found i can only use 2mb macs and can 'force' but forcing tells me its using rts22 but only delivers 2mb

other prople im my area seem unaffected.

EDIT: also, im downloading configs from various ftfp's using haxors downloader. i'm then trying to force them using the same server and telnet is telling me the config isnt found, lol

i've now got the problem that whenever my modem goes opperational and is 20mb, by either using a 20mb mac or forcing i cant get a connection betwen modem and pc unless i set nic to 192.168.100.10 which as you all know gives zero net conection

when i pull the coax out, as soon as the modem looses hfc connectivity, the modem connects to my pc.

if i use a 2mb mac and dont force, it connects to the pc ok.

a barmy day in c+w lancashire, modems up and down all day since about 2pm

new freq has been introduced and a telnet log i saw said that a config i downloaded told the modem to use the new freq.

forcing 20mb seems to be the only way to get online
