Failing that, you could always pay a subscription?

"Don't force" - Means as it says, do not force config files, it doesn't work for 95% of all cases.

You unfortunately have lost me, your post also lacks understandability.

If you have tried other macs, what speed are the macs you are trying and what speed are you actually receiving?

I take it you are TW area, judging by the poorly spelt config name?

Again thanks, first I am in TW area, second I am getting 0.25Mb/s downoading and 0.18Mb/s downloading speed. Although it was used to 10Mb/s Downloading & 512 Kb/s. Should I remove the config file name ??

Yes, you should remove the config name.

You will need to use the config assigned to the mac, so leave the config field blank, and remove the TFTP server address (leave it blank).

When you get back online, test your speed, if still the same as before, try a new mac, if they are encrypted (dynamic) macs, you can download the config and open it with Vultureware Config Editor, and see the downstream/upstream values, in turn allowing you to work out the macs actual speed.

When you find a 10 or 20 meg mac that sticks, you are finished! (Unless you wanted more than free 20meg???)

My Ambit 250 went down just before I went on holiday a few weeks back and I was hoping that the solution would have been a bit clearer when I came back.

It was running Infinite software on it and "sniffed Mac" was good for 14mb.

Is Hexaware still the best way forward ? How do you overwrite Infinite and is there an idiots guide for idiots like me ?

Oh meant to mention I'm in an Pure NTHell area in Glasgow if that makes any difference.

f your modem is infinite, you can upgrade to haxorware using telnet and a ethernet cable providing you kow the login and pass.

if you dont know the user name and pass, you will need a max232 to either reset the login and pass or flash to haxorware

I have tried many and many mac addresses but nothing happen. At every address speed is same 0.25Mb/s (download).

Is modem needs re-flashing?? or it's faulty?
