Mac addresses are nothing to do with it.

You quite clearly have a signal problem, so look into that before anything else. Until you have a downstream and upstream lock a mac or config will not matter.

Simple solution would be check all your connectors and cables and does your TV have all its on demand working or do you have a flashing light on the front of the set top box and a message saying on demand is not available? What signal level do you have on your downstream? If it is below -9dB ish then its too weak.

please help, i have got ambit120, i have just managed to make the blackcat cable and downloaded the blackcat software but i cant find the files

1) ntlhm120_ntl0001.cpr;
2) Infinite_Bootloader;
3) IMH-A120-2.40.3212-SHELLED.bin
4) Tftp.exe

could you please adv where i can get these files?

i highly appreciate you help.

modem down again today, locked on upstream ranging. as far as im concerned there is nothing wrong with my connection, i have a starview upstairs thats fine and this is original cable vm installed "upstairs" the only thing ive ever done is take a split from the brown box outside to my living room.

under config, try forcing cmreg-ntlhm120-rts22.cm

using ip 10.137.103.1 thru to .8

if i put the 50 mb config on, my modem works for 10 mins then goes, at mo running a 20 mb and ok, but when i go to bed the next day its gone and have to reboot again?
