theres something about the lease were getting from the dhcp

mines goin off every 30 mins then reboots but doesnt come online til i change the frequency its a pain in the effin a r s e

looking at some telnet logs it does show that if you connect using nic mac (eg) 11 22 33 44 55 66 and hfc mac (eg) 99 88 77 66 55 44 it gives you a new lease. if you then use the same hfc mac on a diff nic mac, it fails to drop the previous lease. thus, if it has failed to drop the prev lease, it in turn doesn't issue a new lease.

Can you not release it with ipconfig?

Cause you aren't the one providing the DHCP.

Ah, i see, I misunderstood the question!

I assume there no way to force it to drop the previous lease then?

yes when i reboot it it comes back and works for about another day

dont know why the 50 has been playing up , was ok till monday

ya dont need 50 20 is more than enough its people like u forcein 50 thats lettin virmin kno and causein all these problems for people like me!!!!!!!!!!!!
