Hi Kerrywez,
As you seem to know all about the Foxsat HD, I hope you can help me. I have a motorised system pointing to 28.2 and can get freesat and non freesat channels OK. What I want to know is how to get to the other Astra sats and hotbird. Can you tell me the relationship between "steps" on the dish driver option in the humax menu (1-129) and degrees of dish movement, so that I can step from 28.2 to 23.5 to 19.2 etc. Many thanks Mikado Humax Foxsat HD receiver, 80cms motorised dish with diseqc contol |

HI,
As nobody seemed to know the answer to my question above I decided, with help of a friend and a long ladder, to find out empiricallyand came up with this result. 8 steps is equivalent to approximately 1 degree of dish movement. Hope this helps some of you out there. Mikado |

I've just got one of these and I can see where you're coming from I had the same head scratching moments - but got there in the end. I did the 'continuous' movement then stopped when the signal was received. Then chose the '1' option in the 'step' mode to fine nudge it back & forth until I tweeked it to the max strength. It seemed to work. I've successfully scanned in my 13E, 16E, 19.2E and 28E favs

Thanks for you take on other satellites, but I have 2 questions.
Doesn't the continuous movement go too fast to "see" another satellite, or perhaps the signal strenght updating is too slow for continuous movement? How do you know which satellite you have found? Any further help in setting up other satellites would be gratefully received. Many thanks Mikado |
